Hi I’m Jasutin (pronounced Justin) A little about me, I’ve been fascinated by art every since I can remember. I started taking art seriously in the year 2000, experimenting with watercolors, acrylics, graphite, charcoal, ink, finally settling on Oil paint as my favorite medium to work with.
Growing up as the son of a carpenter father and a calligraphy artist mother, taught me to constantly visualize the world around me, imagining how to transform one thing to another.
Being of multicultural heritage, I was taught to deeply love and embrace all the cultures that I come from, as well as having hundreds of international friends had a tremendous influence on my work. I love humanity, and learning about others, who they are on the inside, all the trillions of experiences that constantly refine and form each one of us. If I can capture a portrait of everything that makes up that person, in archival oil paint, that will last hundreds to thousands of years, that is my dream.
My professional background includes, construction/demolition, Baker, Pastry cook, Barista, and Swim instructor.
It makes me very happy to know, I’ve improved peoples lives with either, transforming their homes, gaining a life skill with swimming, or making their day with their favorite pastry.
